IN
RESPONSE TO RISING DEMAND for accurate and presentable data about
Cagayan de Oro, this website has been put up. It is primarily a socio-economic
profile. Addressed to local and foreign investors, it can also be
used by students, political leaders, and researchers -- anyone who
needs reliable information about the phenomenal city of Southern Philippines.
Everything
in the website -- the data, the process of editing, photography,
and graphic design-- is made in Cagayan de Oro.
The website
is user-friendly. The layout is clean and focused, and the individual
parts can be expanded to accommodate additional data for future editions.
It is readable in most browsers, but works best in Internet Explorer
5 or higher version set at 800x600 ppi full
screen.
Two icons
need a little explanation: The graph ,
as the name suggests, will open one or several graphs, and the arrow indicates
a link to an external website. The Appendix is reserved for data that
may not be of immediate interest to the target audience, but can be
used by specialists.
This website,
published on September 26, 2003, is designed, maintained and hosted
free by Elson T. Elizaga and Clara Marie Asuncion Q. Gonzales Elizaga.
It is based on the 2002 CD brochure made by the Department of Trade
and Industry (DTI)-Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce
and Industry Foundation (Orochamber), Mayor Vicente Y. Emano, Congressman
Constantino Jaraula, and Nazca
Graphic Design & Photography.
Content
and design of this website are the responsibility of the webmaster and
are beyond the control of DTI, government officials, and other agencies
involved in the production of the CD brochure. Questions, however,
may be addressed to offices listed in Contacts.
